The 5 Challenges

 

Every day you are in the Healthy Heroes programme you agree to complete five challenges.

 

CHALLENGE 1

Get Active

Ideas

Physical exercise is your first Physical Activity.

For five or more days per week, you should make sure you have at least 30 minutes' physical activitiy a day.

 

CHALLENGE 2

Eat Healthy Foods

Ideas

Healthy eating is your second Physical Activity.

For five or more days per week, you should have at least three vegetables and two fruit a day.

 

CHALLENGE 3

Get Enough Sleep

Ideas

Getting adequate sleep is your third Physical Activity.

For five or more days a week, you should go to bed at your set bedtime and get 8 to 10 hours sleep a night.

 

CHALLENGE 4

Stretch Your Mind

Ideas

This is your Mental Activity.

For five or more days a week, you should read, do art, play music, learn a new language or play brain games like chess or Scrabble.

 

CHALLENGE 5

Help Others

Ideas

This is your Social and Emotional Activity.

For five or more days per week, you should help someone at home or at school, in your neighbourhood or community at least once per day.
